About

A degree in art from TCU resides on my résumé, though I’m not convinced a degree has ever made art more meaningful. Photography came first, capturing musicians—the most fascinating collective of humans I’ve ever met. Painting took hold while studying in Italy, standing inches from the Masters’ works, mesmerized by perfect lines and flawless shadows. Now, the bold distortions of the Cubists and Abstractionists feel more real, their lines, shadows, and colors more alive. The more I run from my history and the more I fight against it…the more that the characters and landscape from the Southwest influence my paintings.
